Japanese Type 30 School Bayonet & Scabbard

Original Japanese Type 30 School Bayonet & Scabbard. Also known as a trainer bayonet. These were issued with non-firing training rifles to Jr. High Schools, Prep Schools, and High Schools to begin the formal training of boys with close order drill prior to their induction into the military.
Condition: Used with some rust scaling on the metal fittings and the blade & scabbard has a very slight bend (see photos). Grip scales are tight and uncracked. Press stud moves freely with good spring tension.
Somewhat uncommon today, these School Bayonets make fine additions to any collection.
